Yes, all bedrooms have new and luxurious ensuite bathrooms.

Soap, shower gel, shampoo, body lotion and towels are all provided.

Yes, there is ramp access to Conlyn House, and all ground floor bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms have disabled access.

There is also an additional bathroom on the ground floor which is accessible to all. 

Yes, there are a few parking spaces for our guests along the side of Conlyn House. Free Public Parking is also available within 30 metres of the premises.

Breakfast is served between 8am-10am, however times can be flexible with notice.

Checkout is at 11:00 am 

Conlyn House is situated directly on the promenade in the seaside town of Newcastle, Co. Down, in the north of Ireland, approx. 30km south of Belfast and 20km north of Newry.

Just a few steps from Newcastle’s beautiful beach, Conlyn House is located directly on the town’s scenic promenade which winds it’s way for 1.5km along the sea-front.

Conlyn House is 30 metres from the town’s Main Street with it’s shops, cafés, bars and restaurants, while Royal County Down Golf Course and the renowned Slieve Donard Hotel is only 100m away.

The Mourne Mountains stretch from Rostrevor northwards to Newcastle and offer hiking enthusiasts a multitude of routes to explore this world-famous designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. 

The hop-on/hop-off Mourne Rambler bus service which departs Newcastle bus station every 90 mins in peak season is a popular way for visitors to view the Silent Valley deep in the Mournes, and the scenic villages of Bryansford, Rostrevor and Annalong.

Travel just 2km to Tollymore Forest Park to enjoy the serenity of woodland vistas and babbling streams, or 6km to Castlewellan Forest Park where there are a variety of leisurely walking/cycling/ horse-riding trails in the environs of the magnificent Annesley’s Castle, Arboretum Gardens and Historic Peace Maze – the largest hedge maze in Europe.

Follow the Co. Down coastline approx. 3km northwards from Conlyn House to find the high sand dunes and wide expanses of Murlough Beach and Nature Reserve.

Or why not travel a little further northwards and catch the Strangford Car Ferry to Portaferry and travel along the Ards Penninsula to the city of Belfast, with it’s many visitor attractions – Titanic Belfast; Stormont; Queens University; City Hall; Botanic Gardens; Belfast Zoo; before returning to Conlyn House at the foot of The Mourne Mountains for a hot shower and a wee cuppa tea.
